Welcome to the new look!2nd December 2008
So, I have finally managed to get the new design up and running. I was tired with the previous look (Seen on the right), and decided to go with something more professional looking.
I was helped out by my friends Eliffio and Max along the way, and they proved invaluable in getting the final design polished and letting me know what looked wrong... Thanks guys!
How it was Built
As always, I designed the site in Photoshop, and put it together in xHTML, PHP and MySQL. As per the previous version, it's all running on my custom PHP framework. There are some notable improvements to the backend PHP, and there is also a lot more error checking involved too. I have also added an RSS feed for the blog. There is now a search box for the blog too, hopefully this will help people in the future once it gets more posts.
Still to Come...
I will be re-writing all of the content for the sites in the portfolio, and adding more to the Personal Projects area. I will also be making it so you can comment on those projects too.
I plan on writing more in the blog. Not about myself though, but about tech related topics, mostly along the lines of development how to's and useful information.
I hope you like the new look, and feel free to leave a comment below!

Hey Ben
Congrats on your new website... i think it looks amazing. You might get design gigs with this one ! not just your usual PHP development !
Seriously, outstanding job, the design is modern and solid... 5 stars for usability and readability and i love the pixel icons.
I hope you get some nice contracts from visitors.
