About Me

Hi, my name is Ben griffiths

I am a 26 year old PHP developer, living in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. I love anything to do with web development, and this has naturally led me to doing this as much as possible.

I have a fiancee called Jenni, and a son called Daniel.

Other than web development, my interests include anything Tech related, Red Dwarf (Best show ever), Tattoos (Yup, I have quite a few now!), reading, and lot’s of other things too.

I have lived in many different places, all within Germany and England. This is mainly because my Father was in the Army, so as you can imagine, we moved around a lot when I was younger. Currently I’m in Rotherham, it’s not a bad little place. Small, but it’s nicer that way I think.

I have worked in an office doing web development - specifically for a site called ephotozine - but I ended up leaving there due to lack of creative direction from the company as a whole, but especially from the Boss - you see when someone asks you for your professional opinion, and then always throws it out of the window for their own (non developer and unreasoned) opinion, it kind of gets to you! This has led me to create my own projects. The Armed Forces Network is currently my latest beast.

I prefer to build site’s from scratch (Even though I am using wordpress here, I just needed something up quickly!). Having the flexibility of building this way allows you to do and style anything pretty much any way you want. It gives total control of the final product.

I also have an interest in photography, as you can see from my Flickr feed on the right. I wouldn’t call myself a pro or anything like that, but I know enough to get me by!
